Speaking about the new travel rules for 'red list' European countries and the US coming into effect on November 29, Carin Bryans, President, American Chamber of Commerce Ireland, said
“The American Chamber strongly welcome’s yesterday’s Cabinet decision that from the November 29th people travelling from ‘red’ European countries will not have to restrict their movements for the full 14 days if they obtain a negative PCR test result at least five days after their arrival. We note in particular that similar arrangements will apply to people travelling from the US. We also welcome the news that Government has also approved an extra €48 million package to support the aviation sector, in addition to the increased funding allocated to Cork, Shannon and regional airports. Ireland’s connectivity is a key element of the country’s economic success, and is particularly important to the multinational sector.”
