AmCham Announces Shortlist for Global Community Award and Winner of Global Leadership Award

The American Chamber of Commerce Ireland (AmCham) is delighted to announce the shortlist for its 2024 Global Community Award and the winner of its 2024 Global Leadership Award. Both awards will be presented as part of AmCham’s prestigious 2024 US-Ireland Business Awards at AmCham’s Annual Dinner at the Clayton Burlington on 24 May 2024.  

The Global Community Award is presented to an individual, team or organisation, including US MNCs, that has had a positive societal/community impact in an area that is aligned with the values of AmCham and our membership. 

The shortlisted organisations and individuals for AmCham’s 2024 Global Community Award are: 

  • Junior Achievement Ireland 
  • Bank of America for its Mná na hÉireann, Women of Ireland Fund
  • Annie Hennelly and Joanne O'Connor – Hewlett Packard Enterprise 
  • I Wish 

The winner of the Global Community Award will be announced at AmCham’s Annual Dinner at the Clayton Burlington on 24 May 2024.  

In the coming weeks, AmCham will be showcasing each of the fantastic, shortlisted organisations and individuals in the 2024 Global Community Award category across our relevant channels.   

AmCham is delighted to announce the winner of its 2024 Global Leadership Award is Gerry Kilcommins, Vice President Manufacturing Vascular and Ireland Country Director, Medtronic.  

The Global Leadership Award is presented to an individual who has had a significant, positive impact on US-Ireland business relations. Gerry will be presented with the 2024 Global Leadership Award at AmCham’s 2024 US-Ireland Business Awards and Annual Dinner in May 

Each award for the US-Ireland Business Awards were judged by an independent judging panel chaired by Professor Brian MacCraith. 

The US-Ireland Business Awards are kindly sponsored by BT Ireland and EY Ireland, with The Irish Times as official media partner.
