AmCham meets with Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Delegation from Michigan 

AmCham was delighted to meet with the Governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer and a visiting delegation from Michigan this week, on the US-Ireland business relationship.

It was great to discuss the opportunities for continued growth in the overall US-Ireland relationship, and in particular, the areas for future business growth and collaboration between Ireland and Michigan. 

We discussed the proposed Michigan-Ireland Trade Commission, which will facilitate greater bilateral trade between Michigan and Ireland and foster enhanced cooperation between academic institutions. We also discussed the key challenges for business in both Ireland and the US, including meeting skills gaps and enhancing the research, development and innovation eco-system.
