First Data has announced it intends to establish a research and development center in Ireland that will house up to 300 highly skilled employees. The R&D center will be located in Nenagh, County Tipperary. First Data’s new facility will be the company’s first Irish location outside of Dublin. First Data currently employs approximately 300 workers in two separate facilities in Dublin.
Tom Higgins, Chief Administrative Officer said “We are looking forward to expanding our presence in Ireland with this new facility in Nenagh, County Tipperary that will house some of our most advanced research work in payments technology.”
