Spring Innovation in People Practices: Change Management & Restructuring
The need for Organisational change can arise through many things, including challenges in growth, economy, or trading conditions; changes in strategy, technology or legislation; pressure arising from mergers and acquisitions or shifting markets; and, of course, as a result of a need to learn new organisation behaviour and skills.
While there is no single model of change and no single solution to effective management, senior management are recognising that how change is managed is a core part of business success, or indeed, failure.
Managers need to be able to introduce and manage change, to ensure organisational objectives are met while gaining commitment from their people both during and after implementation, all while ensuring that business continues as usual.
Whilst each change situation will be unique, there are still a number of common themes that will help ensure that the change process stands the greatest chance of success. Some of these themes will be addressed in this seminar through case studies and best practice sharing.

US Executive Circle - Super Bowl Event, Marines House
Hello and Happy New Year to the US Executive Circle,
I am looking forward to seeing you at multiple events in 2010. Our first event will be a Super Bowl party hosted by the Marines. This is not a typical USEC event as it is purely social and informal. For further details click here.
Also, it will be held on Sunday night, February 7, starting at 8PM and going to the early hours so I realize it may not fit into most people's schedule. However if you can attend, there will be plenty of food and drink and hopefully a great American football game to see too.
Other events will be planned for 2010. We will have the July 4th picnic and the Christmas drinks reception at the Ambassador's residence this year. Along with those events we are in the planning process for a spring and fall event too.
The details on the Super Bowl party are attached and I look forward to seeing some of you at the Marines' house.
Regards,
Mark Walk,
Chair, US Executive Circle
