Trust & Engagement - M2M People Practices, EMC OVENS, Cork

Guest Speaker: EMC, Mercer, The Barry Group

Proudly Sponsored by: Mercer

Directions to EMC in Ovens, Cork (Click Here for Directions)

Organisational Trust is seen as a key ingredient in gaining high levels of employee commitment - without it, engagement levels drop, as does company performance and profitability.

Organisational Trust has been heavily battered by recent events on all sides - the economy, the government, and business practices have undermined employee's sense of security & psychological contract with their employer.

Economically things may be a little less turbulent but public trust in business to "do the right thing" has declined severely, customers have lost confidence, and staff have become increasingly cynical or wary of company initiatives - even in companies that have been unscathed by the downturn.

In the first of our Member to Member (M2M) Innovation in People Practices sessions for 2011 we will be exploring the issues arising from an absence of Trust within organisations and how companies are rebuilding those essential components - reliability, capability, honesty and empathy.

With case studies from EMC and from The Barry Group - both recent winners in the Best Places to Work 2011 listings - on managing Trust & Engagement in companies in Ireland, and Mercer's insights from their recent employee engagement survey (just published in March 2011) this will be a lively session with full attendee participation.
