In one of the largest single jobs announcements by an FDI company based in Ireland, Salesforce today announced the expansion of its team by 1,500 new staff over the next five years.
The roles will be based at a new eight story campus, Salesforce Tower in the Dublin docks region.
Speaking at the launch, Executive Vice President with responsibility for Real Estate at Salesforce, Elizabeth Pinkham said the major new initiative was “a promise etched in stone that we are making Dublin our home for decades.” She announced one million dollars in support for the Educate Together initiative and a specially dedicated area of the new campus, the ‘Ohana Floor’ for non-profit organisations, schools, and community groups.
The company whose team gave 25,000 volunteer hours in 2018 follows other US company expansions in the past year as well as US company employee social contributions. According to research conducted on behalf of the American Chamber, US companies in Ireland now give over 600,000 work supported volunteer hours each year supporting over 2000 projects.
Salesforce Tower Dublin will be a regional hub for employees across sales, customer service, technical and business operations delivering new innovations to its more than 150,000 customers around the world. Salesforce has over 1,400 employees in Dublin and more than 34,000 employees worldwide. With plans to add 1,500 new jobs over the next five years, the company is actively recruiting for roles across all functions including engineering, customer support, sales and business services
