Barry O’Sullivan, Global Manufacturing Lead – Contact Lenses, Johnson & Johnson Vision, is the incoming President of the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland. 

Barry was appointed Plant Manager at the Johnson & Johnson Plant in Limerick in late 2006. Since then the plant has tripled in size to become the largest in its industry globally.  In 2017, Barry was promoted to his current role where he has responsibility for J&J’s contact lens manufacturing globally.

An American Chamber Board member since 2011, Barry is also a member of the IDA Board since 2015 and is currently Chairman of the Action Plan for Jobs for the Mid West.

The American Chamber represents over 700 US multi-nationals operating in Ireland, directly employing over 160,000 high quality jobs in the Irish economy, and indirectly supporting another approximately 100,000 jobs among indigenous Irish companies.
