Social media giant Facebook will increase its workforce in Ireland to 1,500 with the announcement that it is to create 200 new jobs at its International HQ in Dublin. The new jobs will be in a range of business areas including sales, engineering and online operations.
Facebook recently expanded its office in the Silicon Docks area, bringing the amount of space it has in the city to 250,000 sq ft. The expansion gives them the capacity to grow the number of employees in Ireland to 2,000. Head of Facebook in Ireland Gareth Lambe said the expansion demonstrates the company's continued investment here and reaffirms its commitment to Dublin.
