International Leadership Programme 2017:

Cross-Sector Mentorship
 Peer Learning Circle

Through the auspices of the AmCham Network for Women in Global Organisations the American Chamber will pilot two new programmes in 2017:

Cross-Sector Mentorship: Supporting women in roles with international responsibilities by matching them with mentors in other companies who have current or recent relevant international experience. The focus for the mentor programme is personal career development on a one to one basis.

Cross-Sector Peer Learning Circle: Helping those in international roles develop skills to make their role, company, and Ireland, pivotal in global corporate development and create a network which supports this goal.  Areas of focus for the learning circle include: How is one proactive in developing the company in Ireland; How do you challenge status quo; How do you push the boundaries; How do you leverage your company internal capabilities and resources; Who do you need to know in Ireland to secure new or expanded mandates; How do you tell the ‘Why Ireland’ or ‘Why Europe’ story?

Pilot Programme Duration:  January to December 2017.

Register nominees with m.okeeffe@amcham.ie by the 30th November 2016 indicating the programme on which they would like to participate, their name, job title, and contact details.

Nomination does not a guarantee of place on the programme as candidates will be selected based on sector and regional spread. Candidates selection will be confirmed in December.

Criteria for participation in the pilot Mentor Programme:

  • A minimum of one mentor and one mentee from member company
  • Numbers will be restricted during pilot phase.

Criteria for participation in the pilot Peer Learning Circle:
  • Maximum of one nominee from each participating company
  • The nominee must attend each circle meeting – likely four sessions, one each quarter

Participating companies must be American Chamber of Commerce members

In support of the ambitions of the #AmCham4Balance campaign, it is envisioned that these initiatives will be open to both men and women in future iterations.

There is no charge to participate.
