U.S. Circle Profile
The American Chamber of Commerce established the US Executive Circle in Ireland during 2006 as a network for US executives and their families working and living in the country.
The Circle was formed as a multi-dimensional community designed to help American executives:
- engage with business circles
- get established within the community personally and professionally
- strengthen personal ties with the US Embassy

The Circle is open to US citizens working at a senior level in Ireland among firms associated with the American Chamber of Commerce. The circle has its own on-line network at www.amcham.ie/circle for members to make contact with each other.
2008 events included a workshop for the Circle which was hosted by Rob Faucher, the US Embassy's Deputy Chief of Mission, at his home in Dublin. The Circle members also enjoyed two social & networking evenings which were very well attended by members.
The American Chamber of Commerce and members of the US Executive Circle would like to extend their thanks to Michael Malley, a member with IBM and former Chair of the Circle for all his work as Chair of the gourp for the past three years.
The US Executive Circle is now under new leadership in the guise of Mark Walk (a member with LSI Storage), the Circle will be issuing a schedule of events planned for 2009 to include get-togethers built around American Chamber events. The Circle will also seek to collaborate with other related organisations, such as the American Women's Club of Dublin, to extended its reach within the country.
If you are a US citizen and/or if you have colleagues who are U.S. executives at your firm and would like to be invited into the US Executive Circle please contact the American Chamber with your/their details at info@amcham.ie
