The American Chamber of Commerce represents the vibrant US multinational business community in Ireland to the Government, media and other stakeholders. The American Chamber is a powerful voice in Ireland with more than 700 leading US businesses providing employment to over 115,000 people.The American Chamber is the largest MNC business association within Ireland and membership includes US companies operating from Ireland, their strategic partners and organisations with strong bilateral trade linkages between Ireland and the United States of America.

The Role: Responsible for providing administrative support for the Commercial and Membership Engagement Programmes under the daily supervision of a Senior Administrator and reports to the Membership Relations Manager, this role will suit a self-motivated and enthusiastic team player. The successful candidate must have an eye for detail, a charming telephone manner and a flexible can-do attitude. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.  It is expected that this position will also require the incumbent to have the ability to achieve results in the absence of continuous guidance. 

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Answer American Chamber main switch dealing with queries as required

Diverting calls as appropriate to relevant departments or taking messages and emailing team

Provide team with photocopying and filing support

Support the Senior Administrator with Co-ordinating the meeting calendar for Account Management & Membership Recruitment Meetings for the Chamber's Management Team including making appointments, recording meeting details (location, contacts etc) in the relevant MS Office calendar.

With direction respond to inquiries from prospective members, members, executive officers, the general public and other industry bodies by phone, email or in writing and follow-up with an agreed timeframe

Provide Administration support for New Member acquisition to include compiling information for new member packs, following up on meeting outcomes/actions, updating the database with relevant contact information

Provide Administration support for Existing Member account management information packs, follow up, ensuring database is updated with relevant information on each account

Administration support for the compilation of the Annual Business Directory

Administration support with the advert & logos sales campaign for the Annual Business Directory

Support  all aspects of Business Events including 4 Gala lunches per annum, breakfast briefings, business briefings, evening receptions and seminars through phone and email campaigns

Maintain and update the members database with up to date information

Provide Diary management for the Management Team

Provide administration support for Special Projects as they arise
