Remembering 9/11
"The 11th of September 2001 is a day etched in the memories of everyone who witnessed the terrible attacks on New York's World Trade Centre and Washington's Pentagon Building.
It has been said since that the world changed on that day and there is no doubt that it did, particularly for the families of the nearly 3,000 victims who lost their lives, including those on United Airlines flight 93 which crashed in Pennsylvania.
9/11 was a terrorist attack not only on the United States of America but also on the 70 countries whose citizens lost their lives in these attacks and it united the world in grief. On this the 10th anniversary of that fateful day, the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland continues to remember those who lost their lives and we salute the citizens of the United States and of New York who were a shining light in the face of adversity."
-Joanne Richardson, Chief Executive, American Chamber of Commerce Ireland
