                HP Add 105 High Tech Jobs

                Monday December 13th Today's announcement by HP that it is adding 105 new highly skilled jobs within the Global IT organization in Galway is a significant vote of confidence in Ireland, and particularly the Western Region, as a location for Foreign Direct Investment, the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland has said.  In spite of difficult economic conditions Ireland remains a location of choice for US multinationals looking to create and expand operations in Europe.

                Speaking on the announcement the American Chambers said "the decision of HP is a testament to the educated and skilled workforce in Ireland's western region.  Galway offers a readily available pool of talent, global market access, and vastly improved physical infrastructure. HP's expansion will act as a boost to the local economy"
