Nypro

March 28th Nypro Healthcare is to establish an additional state of the art medical device manufacturing facility in Ireland. This newly established facility in Waterford will result in the creation of over 200 new high quality jobs in phase 1 which is expected to increase in subsequent years. 

McAfee 

March 21st McAfee, the world's largest dedicated security company, has announced the company's establishment of a worldwide Centre of Excellence for Enterprise Security Solutions in Cork with the creation of up to 60 new high quality jobs.

Yahoo!

March 21st Yahoo! has announced expansion plans for its Dublin Operations Centre, adding more than 200 new employees in the next 12 months. The company has already started recruiting for customer support, technology, operations, HR and finance which will support Yahoo!'s business across the Europe, Middle Eastern and Africa (EMEA) region.  

Demand Media

March 20th Demand Media, a leading digital media and domain services company, has announced the opening of what will be its largest international office in Dublin, Ireland.  Demand Media's Dublin office will serve as the international headquarters for the company's domain services business.

Zendesk 

March 20th Zendesk's has officially launched its first European data centre in Dublin. Zendesk, the cloud-based customer service software platform, is going beyond US-EU Safe Harbor* legislation with its new facility and giving its European-based customers the choice to keep the customer data that Zendesk manages on their behalf within the EU. 

FireEye 

5th March FireEye has announced that it will establish its EMEA technical support centre in Cork, with the expectation of creating approximately 150 new jobs. The new EMEA technical support centre will be a strategic centre for FireEye with a central role in supporting international growth. FireEye provide software protection against web and email next-generation security threats.

February 21st Quantcast is to establish its EMEA Operations Centre in Dublin with the creation of 100 new high quality jobs over the next two years. Account Management, Product Operations, Marketing and Finance will be supported in the new Dublin office. Quantcast is a digital advertising company specializing in audience measurement and real-time advertising. 

Worldwide TechServices 

Worldwide TechServices (WWTS) is to establish a European Headquarters in Limerick with the creation of 62 new jobs. WWTS, a global provider of IT solutions, will support Operations and Sales activities for its EMEA operations from the new Limerick HQ. WWTS provides custom infrastructure and managed service solutions for a variety of technologies and customers in the IT market across 82 countries. 

Guidewire 

Guidewire Software, Inc., a global provider of software solutions to the general insurance industry, is creating 75 new positions in 2013 to add to the existing 50 employees already employed at its Global Services' and Regional Development Centre in Blanchardstown, Dublin. Guidewire Software was founded in 2001 in Silicon Valley and has grown to become a market leader in the provision of core system software for the global general insurance industry.  

Facebook

18th February Facebook is expanding its Irish operation by adding 100 positions to its European headquarters in Dublin. Facebook's expansion brings the number of employees at the Dublin base to 500. The new positions will include roles in advertising, safety and user operations.

eBay

14th February eBay Inc has announced the creation of 450 new jobs in customer service, sales and compliance. These jobs will function across both eBay and PayPal and are based at the Operations centre in Dundalk. eBay Inc. has been in Ireland for a decade and currently employs 2,300 people across its eBay and PayPal facilities located at Blanchardstown in Dublin and a new facility at Dundalk Business Campus, Dundalk, Co Louth. The company's operations in Ireland provide a variety of support functions to its growing customer base across the EMEA regio

Whitehouse Analytical Laboratories

29th January: Whitehouse Analytical Labs, an analytical testing facility serving primarily the pharmaceutical and medical device industry, has chosen Ireland for its first round of international expansion. They are to establish an Irish-based laboratory in Cork with the creation of 35 highly skilled job.

Etsy Inc. 

29th January Etsy, the e-commerce website focused on handmade or vintage items, is to establish a new global headquarters in Dublin. The Etsy operation in Dublin, will target sellers and buyers of unique handmade and vintage goods and craft supplies in the European, Middle East and African region, and will have operational support.

Loop1 Systems Inc. 

29th January: Loop1 Systems, a company that specialises in training and professional services for US software manufacturer SolarWinds, is to establish a sales, customer support and technical centre in Cork with the creation of 17 new jobs. Loop1 said it chose Cork as the location for this operation due to its close relationship with SolarWinds, which has its EMEA headquarters in Cork. 

10Gen

 29th January: Database developer 10Gen is looking to hire 60 staff as part of a plan to establish a customer and technical support centre in Dublin. The company, which developed the document-oriented database system MongoDB, said its five-year plan would more than double the company's presence in Ireland.

Vistakon

14th January: Vistakon Ireland plans to invest over €100 million in the expansion of its manufacturing operations and create 100 new highly skilled jobs at its site in the National Technology Park, Plassey, Limerick.
