Chamber welcomes LinkedIn Investment
The American Chamber of Commerce Ireland today welcomed the announcement that LinkedIn is to locate its new International Headquarters in Ireland.
With Google, Facebook, eBay, PayPal and now LinkedIn located here, Ireland is developing a reputation as a location of choice for internet based US companies. These companies are high growth innovation led companies which epitomise the smart economy. We congratulate IDA Ireland on securing this investment.
Almost 750 new jobs have been announced by US companies in Ireland since the beginning of the year, demonstrating the continued importance of US investment in Ireland where over 100,000 people are directly employed by US companies. 250 of these jobs have been announced by eBay and PayPal demonstrating the employment potential of internet based companies.
